Parker Johnson (45) moved to Fairhaven after marrying Lina to help her run the general store. Since then, they've had two children, Emmi and Finn. Like Lina, Parker is composed and competent.
But their marriage isn't perfect - he feels like Lina keeps him at arm's length, and he doesn't know why. He has recently joined the Consciousness Center.
Parker grew up in the city, which he perceived as drab and gray. He grew to love plants, especially flowers, because of their vibrancy.
Parker took up carpentry as a trade, but he would prefer to be a florist, like Violet.

Relationship Cutscenes[]
New Acquaintances (expand)
- How to initiate cutscene: After gaining one full heart, visit his workshop while it is open.
- Dialogue:
Tara: Hiya Parker!
Parker: Hi Tara! How are things on the farm? I’m really glad an old friend of Lina’s moved back to town. Lina’s lived here her whole life, but she doesn’t really have that many close friendships.
--[Choice: I’m so grateful]
-Tara: I am so grateful for her help, and yours! It has definitely made it easier to settle in.
-Parker: We’re happy to help anytime!
--[Choice: What about Sophia?]
-
--[Choice: She is hard to get to know]
-
Parker: I’m just glad you’re here, is all. I hope you and Lina get to spend more time together.
Casual Friend (expand)
- How to initiate cutscene: After gaining two full hearts, meet Parker in the woods near Shelby's cabin on his day off.
- Dialogue:
Tara: Hi Parker. Chopping down some wood?
Parker: No, I’ve been coming by the woods every so often to see if my favorite flowering tree has bloomed yet. When I was a kid in the city, there was only one tree on our block, in front of my neighbor Mrs. Lovitz’s house. Used to bloom pink petals once a year. It was like a miracle on that drab block. I gotta say, I don’t miss that concrete jungle at all.
--[Choice: I used to dream of Gramma’s farm]
-Tara: I can relate. I feel like when I was a kid, I used to dream all year of getting to come to Gramma’s farm in the summer.
-Parker: You were a lucky kid to get that break in nature. I’ve only ever heard good things about your Grandpa too. I bet it was nice having that time with them.
--[Choice: I grew up by a public park]
-Tara: I agree, but I was lucky enough to grow up next to a public park, so I had a little bit of green space at least.
-Parker: Oh, I had a park like that too, but c'mon. No child should have to settle for a tiny patch of greenery when they could have all of nature.
--[Choice: I miss the city]
-I do miss the city sometimes. Even if there are no trees for blocks!
-Parker: Hey, I get it. Home is home. But I hope you grow to love this place too.
Parker: I went back home one Winter, and Mrs. Lovitz’s house was gone and replaced by a new condo building. They took the tree out too. See, in Winter, it didn’t look like much. Just some spindly branches. But nothing can be in full bloom all the time, can it? Otherwise you wouldn’t appreciate it.
Tara: I guess that’s true.
Parker: Take it easy, Tara.
Good Friend (expand)
- How to initiate cutscene: After gaining three full hearts, visit the League of the Conscious Mind to find Parker talking to Messenger Cameron at his desk. This will work anytime Parker isn't at his shop.
- Dialogue:
Cameron: Parker, this design is perfect! It looks just like Leon Corne’s desk!
Parker: Oh, hey there, Tara. I’m building Messenger Conner a new desk modelled on the one in the office of the League’s founder, Dr. Corne. Cameron, I’m honored that you’re giving me such an important task. I promise I’ll make a faithful copy!
--[Choice: Parker will do great!]
-Tara: Oh, Parker is so talented I’m sure Leon Corne himself won’t be able to tell the difference!
-Parker: Aw, thank you Tara. I’m certainly going to try!
--[Choice: You already have a desk]
-
--[Choice: Why not something new?]
-Tara: Oh, I think Parker is so talented that he should put his own creative spin on the design!
-That's... flattering, Tara, but I want to stay true to our founder's vision. After all, that vision created this amazing community!
Parker: I do appreciate the compliment, Tara. Truth is, I kind of fell into carpentry. It wasn’t something I was particularly passionate about. I would rather have been a florist, like Violet! But I find ways to create beauty with my work, even if it’s subtle, like lining up the wood grain on cabinet doors. You can find beauty anywhere, if you look hard enough!
Best Friend (expand)
- How to initiate cutscene: After gaining four full hearts, enter Parker's workshop Monday though Friday between 9am and 5pm.
- Dialogue:
Tara: Hi Parker, how’s it going?
Parker: Oh. Fine I guess. Hey, has Lina seemed off to you lately? Whenever I ask her if something’s wrong, she just shrugs and says she’s a bit tired. You see, I’m on a path to becoming a better person, a better man. And I want to improve our relationship too, but I can’t if she just keeps shutting me out. I feel like she’s just fine with keeping the status quo. You’re her friend. What should I do?
--[Choice: Lina loves you]
-Tara: Lina only ever says loving things about you. She’s just under a lot of stress, I think.
-Parker: But shouldn’t I be the one to help her through that stress? I want to be there for her, but I can’t if she won’t talk to me and tell me what’s up.
--[Choice: It’s just how she is]
-Tara: I know Lina loves you. But stoicism is just part of her nature. She doesn't like relying on others or burdening them with her problems.
-Parker: But like, I'm her husband. I want to be burdened. Burden away! I'm not trying to change who she is, just get her to let me in a little.
--[Choice: Give her some space]
-Tara: Maybe you just need to give her a little bit of breathing room and let her sort out whatever it is on her own.
-Parker: Look, I know that’s what Lina wants. I get it. But how much more space can I give her? Should I just like, not talk to her?
Parker: I love Lina for who she is. I know she doesn’t wear her heart on her sleeve all the time like I do. It’s just… there are few things lonelier than feeling lonely even when you’re with someone. That’s all. Thanks for listening, Tara.
