Damon Mthebu-Haas (24) is the owner of the only bar in Fairhaven.
He cares a lot about the bar's upkeep and often works into the early morning, rising in the afternoon to drink coffee at Sophia's diner.
Damon may be young to own a bar, but it's a family institution - his dad ran it before he and Damon's mom moved back to South Africa. His mother, who was once the Fairhaven pharmacist, wanted to return to her roots as a healer. Now that Damon's parents have moved, Lina is like his surrogate family.
Damon is friendly and enjoys socializing with all inhabitants of Fairhaven. He is especially close with Lina, whom he regards as an older sister.

Often Damon is in the centre of town, or at Sophia's. Be mindful that because of his late hours at The Bar he will show up later in the morning.

Damon: Kitten, do you happen to have any spare candles? I’m working on something.
Tara: That’s not vague at all. But okay, let me see what I can do.

I wasn’t sure why. Now you’re here. And I think I made the right call, to stay. There’s this Zulu idea called “ubuntu.” My mom talks about it a lot. It means “I am because we are.” Ever since she and my dad left, I’ve been thinking about the ways… y’know, ways that we’re all connected.
Tara: I didn’t realize you thought about this kind of stuff…
Damon: Bartenders-slash-witches-slash-class-clowns have deep thoughts all the time, kitten! And here’s another one: I think you and I make each other into complete people. My mom told me to give this necklace to someone special. And that’s you. I… okay, here it comes… I love you. [Gives Kaya’s Necklace.]

- How to initiate cutscene: After gaining a seventh full heart, a letter will arrive in the mailbox that starts a quest line to get engaged.

Tara: Damon, I have a gift for you.
Damon: Kitten! I was gonna do that!

Damon: Of course! You want to do it right now?
Tara: Or… maybe next week?
Damon: That’s what I said! I got you. I’ll set everything up in the woods!
